'RELATIONSHIPS TO THE BROADER SYSTEM'

To create a handmade piece for Alfa Mist’s album Structuralism. Structuralism is defined as a mode of knowledge of nature and human life that is interested in relationships rather than individual objects.

Create pieces out of expanding foam as the act of the foam when exposed to air is to expand and grow. Elements of it start to pull away from eachother whilst still being held together in a variety of forms, creating a kind of ecosystem. This encapsulates the definition of structuralism whereby objects are defined by the set of relationships of which they are a part of.
